Botswana Adventure — 21 Days of Self-Drive Wildlife

The flight was long, but as soon as you look out the vastness of Africa, everything is forgotten. No hectic terminals, no crowds — just sun, peace and the endless beauty of nature. You immediately feel: It's not the time that counts here, it's the experience that counts here.

With PARU, you experience Botswana in the best way: at your own pace. 21 days that take you to the most famous and mysterious places — from the roaring Victoria Falls to the elephant herds in Chobe National Park to the surreal salt pans and the wildly romantic Okavango Delta. And all this with accommodation that is as special as the country itself.

Week 1 — The waterfalls and elephants of Botswana

Victoria Falls — A start that gives you goosebumps

Your adventure starts with a real highlight: the majestic Victoria Falls. After arriving in Zimbabwe, it's time to relax — take a deep breath and feel Africa. The next morning, you are faced with this natural wonder, which captivates you with its power and beauty. Explore the falls on foot or experience them from a completely new perspective on a boat trip on the Zambezi River. In the evening, the next adventure awaits: a safari or a relaxing Zambezi boat trip with elephants, hippos and many other animals.

Chobe National Park — The Elephant Mecca

From Victoria Falls, it's on to Chobe National Park, home to Africa's largest elephant population. Once you arrive in Kasane, you are in the centre of safari paradise: Game drives take you up close to elephants, buffaloes and antelopes. And then the boat trip on the Chobe River — pure wildlife cinema! Observe animals at close range as nature dazzles with spectacular sunsets.

Week 2 — From the salt pans to the Okavango Delta

Makgadikgadi salt pans — surreal and infinite

Next stop: the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. The vast, endless plains are almost unreal - like another world. Here you can discover animals such as springboks, jackals or lions on desert safaris. And when the sun sets on Ntwetwe Pan, time seems to stand still. You won't ever forget this feeling of freedom.

Khwai Community Area - in the middle of the wilderness

From the surreal expanse of salt pans, you will enter the vibrant wilderness of the Khwai Community Area, on the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve. Here, every game drive becomes a real adventure: lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes in the wild. And then the Mokoro safari! You glide silently through the canals of the delta, surrounded by pure nature — it feels like you're part of this paradise.

Maun — The gateway to the Okavango Delta

After all the experiences, the route takes you to Maun, the charming gateway town to the Okavango Delta. Enjoy a relaxing evening, recharge your batteries and look forward to what's coming next.

Week 3 — Pure paradise: Okavango Delta and Kwando River

Okavango Delta — Where water meets wilderness

The Okavango Delta is the culmination of your adventure. With a Mokoro canoe, you glide silently through the winding waterways, past birds, hippos and untouched nature. On game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve, you will get up close to big cats such as lions or leopards. The mixture of peace and wilderness makes the delta a place that will remain in your heart forever.

Kwando River — Your Grand Finale

At the end of your journey, discover the pristine nature along the Kwando River. Here, in the peaceful seclusion of the North, you will experience elephants and other animals up close on boat safaris. With a final safari, a breathtaking sunset and the tranquility of the river, your adventure comes to an end — but the memories last forever.

These accommodations could be part of your trip:
  • Victoria Falls Safari Lodge - Vicoria Falls
  • Boteti River Camp / Chobe Water Villas — Chobe National Park
  • San Camp — Makgadikgadi Salt Pans
  • Khwai River Lodge — Khwai Community Area
  • Thamalakane River Lodge — Maun
  • Meno A Kwena Lodge — Okavango Delta
  • Lebala Camp — Kwando River
